Anatoli Semenov: Director
Anatoli Semenov is recognized as one of the world’s finest hockey players having played in over 18 professional hockey seasons including 7 in the NHL. The offensive leader of Moscow Dynamo for over a decade, Anatoli was a member of the National team that represented the USSR at the 84’ and 87’ Canada Cup tournaments, the Rendezvous 87’, and who won the Olympic Gold Medal in 88’. Anatoli holds the distinction of World Champion 87’, USSR National Champion 90’, and Stanley Cup Champion 90’. Anatoli brings to the ice a wealth of experience from the perspective of a seasoned professional athlete. His unique integration of Russian training strategies into high intensity workouts delivering results to players every time they step on the ice. The goal is to help young players capture the understanding and focus necessary to achieve their potential as top competitors.
Dmitry Yushkevich: Guest Pro
A NHL All Star in 2000’ Dmitry Yushkevich has clearly proven to be one of the leagues leading defensemen. His hardnosed style combines exceptional strength with a powerful skating stride. Entering his 17th professional hockey season, 11th in the NHL, Dmitry is a veteran of three Olympics having won an Olympic Gold Medal 92’ and Silver-medals in 98’ & 02’. He won the Gold Medal with the World Jr. Champion Team in 89’ and was Champion of the USSR 91’. Dmitry is an excellent on ice coaches who helps young players challenge themselves to be more aggressive and develop efficiency in their hockey habits. On the ice as a coach, just as in the NHL, Dmitry leads by example, always showing the importance of combining strength with speed.
Alex Semenov: Instructor
Alex Semenov is one of the most promising young players in jr. hockey. Having joined the Springfield Jr. Blues of the NAHL last season, Alex has proven to be an excellent fit for the fast paced and highly competitive jr. hockey league. Alex shows the mark of exceptional skill execution under pressure at elevated tempos. His training experience with the Red Army Team in Russia has enhanced his concept of on ice athleticism making him exceptionally agile and swift. Alex is an excellent instructor who enjoys working with young players. His ability to demonstrate high-level skills on ice, is an indication to the effectiveness of the Semenov Hockey School’s total hockey training techniques.
